GACL Delivery Policy
At Gloucester Antiques Centre we know that different items have different packaging and delivery requirements. We endeavour to achieve the right balance between security and cost effectiveness when shipping items and will choose the courier that we think is best suited to your item.
Please note that your location may also affect delivery price. Some items and/or shipping locations may require us to work out a specific delivery cost for the item and location in question. We are happy to ship to any location in Britain or abroad. If you require the item to be delivered to a specific address or or have any special requirements (i.e. stairs, elevators, limited access to delivery location, etc.) that may affect shipping costs, please be sure to inform us of these.
All items to be shipped, no matter how large and robust are carefully packaged in bubble wrap and/or acid free tissue paper. We also offer customers the opportunity to purchase items online and then collect them from our Centre.
Delivery must be pre paid, and delivery charges are non-refundable. On items which are breakable or more than £200 in value, shipping insurance is mandatory and a premium will be added to the delivery cost to cover this.
All shipments are shipped or collected in good condition from Gloucester Antiques Centre and Gloucester Antiques Centres responsibility for these items ceases once they leave us. We are not liable for any damage, loss or other misshappening which may occur during or after courier collection or collection in person.
In the unlikely event that your purchase is damaged or lost during delivery, the customer must fill out a damage or loss claim form directly with the shipper. While Gloucester Antiques Centre is not responsible for any damage or loss that may occur to your purchase once picked up by the carrier, we will assist you in filing and expediting resolution of such a claim with the shipper.
If your delivery requires a signature, please be sure to examine the item, inluding packaging, for any damage that may have occured during shipment. If any such damage is found, be sure to ask the courier to record this on your packing note/invoice and request details on filing a claim. A claim should be filed as soon as possible with the courier. Please notify Gloucester Antiques Centre once a claim has been filed and we will try our best to expedite the process.
Please be sure to keep all original packing material for at least 15 calendar days. In the event you find concealed damage, your shipment must be inspected and returned in the exact package in which it was delivered.
